Goodyear India has appointed Dr. Sumit D. Chowdhury as an Independent Director, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation-driven growth in the Indian and global markets. With over two decades of experience in global consulting, digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and public policy, he brings a wealth of knowledge from his past leadership roles. His experience includes GreenEarthX, Gaia Smart Cities Solutions, Jio, Brookfield Properties, IBM, Reliance Communications, BearingPoint, KPMG and Philips India.
Beyond his corporate leadership, Dr. Chowdhury has played a pivotal role in shaping industry and academia through board positions at Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India and ABM Knowledgeware. A Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) holder from Carnegie Mellon University and an alumnus of IIT Kanpur, he has contributed to governance, digital infrastructure and AI-driven automation. He also serves on the Board of IIT Dhanbad’s Innovation arm, TexMIN.
