Hitachi India has announced the elevation of Bharat Kaushal to the role of Executive Chairman, further solidifying his leadership within the company. In addition, Kaushal has been appointed as Corporate Officer in charge of regional strategies (India) at Hitachi Ltd., underlining his growing influence in shaping the company’s long-term vision and operations in the region.
Kaushal, who previously served as Managing Director (MD) of Hitachi India and Corporate Officer at Hitachi Ltd., will now also serve as the Acting Managing Director. Notably, he made history in Financial Year (FY) 2017 by becoming the first Indian MD of Hitachi India, a significant milestone that reflected Hitachi’s increasing focus on localisation and leadership development in India.
Under his stewardship, Hitachi India has broadened its presence across critical sectors including energy, infrastructure, healthcare, e-education, financial inclusion and urban mobility. His leadership has been instrumental in forging strong collaborations with government and industry stakeholders, driving innovation that aligns with India’s national development agenda.
