Kyndryl India Elevates Balamurali Debur to Vice President, Marketing and Customer Experience

Kyndryl India has announced the promotion of Balamurali Debur—popularly known as Bala—as Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience, marking a strategic shift in how the enterprise technology services giant approaches customer engagement.

This move is particularly noteworthy as it’s the first time Kyndryl India has unified its marketing and customer experience (CX) functions under a single leader. The appointment reflects the company’s renewed focus on customer-centricity and delivering holistic value in today’s evolving B2B tech landscape.

Bala joined Kyndryl in 2021, the year it was spun off from IBM, and brings over 15 years of diverse experience across marketing and strategy roles at IBM Services and IBM Consulting in India and Singapore. Before his corporate tenure, Bala made his mark in the advertising world, having worked with agencies like Lintas and Mudra Communications on iconic campaigns for brands such as Godrej, Britannia and Indya.com.

His new role will see him steering both the narrative and the experience of Kyndryl’s brand in India—a significant responsibility as CX becomes a business-critical differentiator in enterprise IT. With Kyndryl managing some of the most complex digital infrastructures across cloud, cybersecurity, mainframes and networks, Bala’s integrated leadership approach is expected to bridge storytelling with service excellence.

This appointment not only reflects Kyndryl’s evolving leadership structure but could also signal a broader trend: the convergence of marketing and CX as a single, powerful lever for business transformation.
