In his new role, Konnaris will oversee Aldermore’s information security and cyber risk strategies, with a focus on strengthening digital resilience, regulatory compliance and the protection of critical assets.

Konnaris brings extensive experience in cybersecurity leadership, most recently serving as CISO at Arete, where he led the firm’s global security operations. During his tenure, he was responsible for implementing advanced security frameworks, leading incident response efforts and enhancing cloud and vulnerability management protocols.

Prior to Arete, Konnaris held senior security roles at Visa, where he served as Security Operations Lead/Manager, directing key initiatives in SOC governance, infrastructure hardening and regulatory alignment. He also held leadership positions at Barclays, including AVP – Global Attack Analyst, focusing on cyber threat detection and enterprise-wide security posture improvement.

His earlier experience includes roles at Fraedom, Symantec, and the Cypriot Army, where he developed expertise in endpoint protection, incident response, SIEM integration and foundational network security.

With a career spanning over a decade in high-stakes financial and technology environments, Konnaris is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing Aldermore Bank’s cybersecurity capabilities.
