Bank of Baroda has announced the appointment of Moharana Ashok Kumar as its new Chief Data Officer, according to a regulatory filing dated May 6, 2025. The move underscores the bank’s continued focus on strengthening its digital and data-driven capabilities.
Kumar, who joined the bank in 1999 as a Specialist IT Officer, brings over 25 years of experience in technology and data management—all within Bank of Baroda. His elevation to CDO reflects both his deep institutional knowledge and the bank’s strategic push toward enhancing data governance and analytics.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration. With his comprehensive understanding of the bank’s data infrastructure, Kumar is expected to lead key initiatives in digital transformation, further reinforcing Bank of Baroda’s commitment to innovation in financial services.
