Netskope, a global leader in cloud and data-centric cybersecurity, has announced the elevation of Ajay Gupta to Vice President and Regional Head for the SAARC region. The appointment comes amid the company’s rapid growth and increasing strategic focus on South Asia.
Gupta, who joined Netskope in 2018, has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s presence across India and the broader SAARC region. Under his leadership, Netskope established a strong footprint in key Indian cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata. His efforts have helped position India as the company’s second-largest innovation and development hub globally.
As part of its ongoing investment in the region, Netskope has launched eight advanced data centres across five major cities in India. These facilities are integrated into the company’s NewEdge private cloud network, providing high-performance, low-latency and fully localized data services to customers across the subcontinent.
One of the standout achievements under Gupta’s leadership has been the successful implementation of cloud security solutions for a global IT enterprise with a workforce of 250,000 employees—demonstrating Netskope’s growing influence in the enterprise cybersecurity space.
Tony Burnside, Head of APAC at Netskope, lauded Gupta’s promotion, stating, “Ajay and his team have built on strong foundations and this promotion is a recognition of their achievements.”
Gupta’s elevation reflects not just a personal milestone, but also the rising demand for advanced cybersecurity and networking solutions in the SAARC region. As Netskope continues to scale, Gupta is expected to play a key role in driving innovation and regional expansion.
