Microsoft has named Amy Coleman as its new Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer, succeeding Kathleen Hogan, who led the company’s Human Resource (HR) division for a decade. With over 25 years of experience at Microsoft, Coleman brings a wealth of expertise in corporate HR strategy, employee engagement and organisational development.
In her previous role as Corporate Vice President for Human Resources and Corporate Functions, Coleman led a global team of 200 HR professionals and played a pivotal role in shaping Microsoft’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic, hybrid work evolution and employee culture transformation. Her leadership in talent development, workplace inclusivity, and crisis response has been a driving force in Microsoft’s people-centric approach.
Coleman is also interested to educational initiatives, serving as a campaign executive for the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship programme. As Chief People Officer, she will focus on advancing Microsoft’s talent strategy, fostering an inclusive work culture and leveraging AI-driven workforce solutions to align HR policies with global workplace trends.
Her appointment marks a significant step in Microsoft’s journey to create a more inclusive, adaptive, and innovative work environment.
