IDfy, a leading global identity verification platform, has appointed Malcolm Gomes as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this strategic role, Gomes will head the company’s trust and privacy platform ‘Privy’, oversee global operations and develop industry-specific solutions to scale trust and security in digital transactions worldwide.
Bringing nearly two decades of experience, Gomes spent 17 years at McKinsey & Company, where he advised financial institutions across Asia and the Middle East. His expertise spans digital transformation, AI-enabled service models, customer experience and new business launches in emerging markets.
Gomes’ appointment is seen as a significant step forward in IDfy’s mission to eliminate fraud and build digital trust at scale. Commenting on the leadership move, Ashok Hariharan, CEO of IDfy, expressed confidence in Gomes’ vision and leadership, noting his alignment with the company’s innovation-driven goals.
