Bank of India (BOI), recently, has inaugurated 111 new branches across the country in order to bolster its national presence. The virtual ceremony was led by Managing Director and CEO, Rajneesh Karnatak, marking a milestone in the bank’s commitment to enhancing customer access and driving financial inclusion.
The Hyderabad Field General Manager Office (FGMO) saw the highest expansion, adding 17 branches. Chennai FGMO followed with 14 branches, while Pune added 13. New Delhi FGMO launched 12 new branches, Bhopal introduced 11, and both Chandigarh and Lucknow FGMOs added 10 branches each.
Commenting on the development, Karnatak said, “This initiative enhances our presence in key urban and semi-urban centres, bringing banking services closer to customers. By increasing our branch network, we aim to boost accessibility, improve customer convenience and offer a more personalised banking experience.”
He further emphasised that the expansion aligns with BOI’s vision of supporting small businesses, empowering individuals and contributing to India’s broader economic development.
