Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the appointment of Aarthi Subramanian as Executive Director – President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective from 1st May, 2025, for a five-year term, subject to shareholder approval. A seasoned Tata Group executive, Subramanian is currently serving as the Group Chief Digital Officer at Tata Sons Limited, where she has played a pivotal role in spearheading digital transformation initiatives across the conglomerate’s companies.
This appointment marks a homecoming for Subramanian, who has previously held significant leadership roles at TCS, including Executive Director and Global Head of Delivery Excellence, Governance and Compliance.
With a career spanning more than 30 years, she brings a wealth of experience in delivery leadership, particularly within the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) verticals. Her strategic contributions have led to enhanced operational efficiencies and improved client satisfaction at scale.
Beyond her executive roles, Subramanian also holds board memberships at Tata Capital, Tata AIA Life Insurance and Infiniti Retail, further underlining her rooted influence within the Tata ecosystem.
Her appointment is seen as a strategic move to further strengthen TCS’s operational leadership and align its growth trajectory with evolving digital priorities across the global technology landscape.
