In a significant leadership move, Wipro has announced the appointment of Amit Kumar as Managing Partner and Global Head of Consulting. He will also serve as a Member of the Executive Board. In this pivotal role, Amit will lead Wipro’s global consulting division, driving the company’s strategic vision, growth initiatives, and transformative client engagements across international markets.
With over 24 years of industry experience, Amit Kumar brings a strong track record in business transformation, operational excellence, digitization, and supply chain optimization. His extensive work with top-tier clients spans sectors including telecom, energy, industrials, retail, and private equity, covering key regions such as North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific.
Prior to joining Wipro, Amit held multiple leadership positions at Accenture, including Managing Director and Americas Market Lead for Strategy & Consulting, as well as Global Head of the Industry X Practice. He began his career at Electrolux, where he was responsible for strategic planning and logistics across Sweden, China, and the United States.
This appointment underlines Wipro’s commitment to strengthening its consulting-led approach and accelerating digital transformation for clients globally.
